As a rough rule of thumb the general thought about beauty and skincare are that it doesn't work on radio. The belief is that it is 'too visual' a genre to be able to connect. Well, we are happy to confirm that this could not actually be further from the truth.
Our recent radio day with health and beauty expert Liz Earle, saw a schedule that included coverage across 19 BBC stations and 2 National stations with huge audience reach.
Also, on Friday we were lucky enough to have the pleasure of working with the fantastic Celine Cousteau on behalf of La Prairie skin care. Not only was Celine completely engaging as a spokesperson, she also managed to deliver the key messages about her involvement with La Prairie without over branding. Although we had limited time, the pick up was absolutely fantastic with a schedule boasting 90% BBC coverage. Have a listen on the right to our very own Carolyn Owlett's chat with Celine Cousteau. A very intereting lady, I'm sure you'll agree.
Here is Carolyn and Celine enjoying a chat and a laugh. They were working hard. Honest.

From our point of view this goes to show that if you have the right spokesperson (celebrity or otherwise) and the story is strong, ANYTHING can work for radio, the key is knowing how to get the two to connect.
